This trail ripper features ultra-adjustable geometry that lets you choose your own adventure, whether you’re after a stoic trail tamer, rowdy MX ride, or enduro-ready beast. Three build options and endless tweaks mean you can get a ride that’s fine-tuned for your style and stomping grounds. Wherever the trail leads you, Fuel is ready to send.
Fuel EX and Fuel+ EX
With 29” wheels and 145/150 mm (rear/front) travel, EX is the classic configuration. Riders get the most efficient pedalling and most balanced handling – making it the right bike for the widest variety of riders and terrain. That’s why most Fuel and Fuel+ bikes will come standard as Fuel EX.
Better geometry
The new Fuel and Fuel+ come in five sizes dialled to fit any rider – from tiny to tall. We’ve simplified the line by removing the ML size, re-distributing the spread of the other sizes to better fit more riders with fewer sizes, while keeping size-specific geometry and chainstays for a better ride, whatever your height. We’ve also modernised our stack height by using taller head tubes on larger sizes, raising the front end of the bike up so taller riders get more comfort and control without having to run a stack of spacers or high-rise bars.
Massive dropper insertion
The new frame design on the Fuel and Fuel+ lets most size M riders run a 200 mm dropper
Open triangle
Tons of room for big water bottles, Range Extenders on Fuel+, or additional accessories like frame bags or mini-pumps
ZS standard headset
The Fuel and Fuel+ now use the ZS internal headset standard to allow for more aftermarket options like angle-adjust headsets or shiny colours.
Leverage rate adjust
Riders can tweak leverage rate with the flip of a chip. Go less-progressive for a plusher feel or more-progressive for big features, more bottom-out resistance or running a coil shock.
Load up, roll out
Stash ride essentials with in-frame storage on all Fuel* models – both carbon and alloy. Plus, top tube accessory mounts on Fuel and Fuel+ let you load up even more.

The Fuel LX 9 XT Di2 is a hard-charging trail bike built for rowdy laps and hair-raising descents. It pairs an adaptable Alpha NEXT Platinum aluminium frame with a Fox Factory 38 fork and DHX2 coil shock (160 mm rear, 170 mm front) for rolling into steeper than steep lines packed with mine fields of boulders. Shimano's wireless XT Di2 drivetrain delivers ultra-crisp, customisable shifting in a light, robust package and 4-piston XT M8200 brakes provide excellent modulation and stop-on-a-penny power.
